The Malin Institute at Chicago-Kent will present a one-day in-person symposium exploring how the Supreme Court’s monumental abortion decision (Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization) will affect the workplace and the law of the workplace. Please join us to hear talks by prominent scholars and advocates from around the country on topics such as:

  • Pregnancy discrimination protections and maternity leave laws;
  • Employers’ liability for assisting employees in procuring abortions;
  • Effect of Dobbs on employee benefits law;
  • Implications for religiously affiliated employers;
  • How Dobbs might affect sexual harassment and gender-based violence in the workplace;
  • Different effects of Dobbs based on race, class, and disability; and
  • The potential role of unions and other collective action.
