This class includes the controversial history and conceptual underpinnings of the Establishment and Free Exercise Clauses. It also covers the Supreme Court's jurisprudence of these clauses up to the present day. In addition, the class includes recent and all-important Supreme Court decisions interpreting the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA), including the famous Hobby Lobby case, as well as the Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act (RLUIPA).(added 4/18)
