Diversity and Inclusion on Campus

Chicago-Kent works closely with student organizations and other departments to facilitate a variety of inclusive events throughout the year, including:

  • New Student Diversity Social: an Orientation Week reception for incoming ILs, returning students, faculty, and staff to celebrate diversity at Chicago-Kent
  • MLK Forum: an annual forum typically held the Thursday after Martin Luther King Jr. Day for community members to discuss racial and social justice issues and action steps to promote greater equality
  • Community Dialogues: guided conversations about how our diverse identities shape our life experiences and our relationship to events happening globally, nationally, and locally
  • Diversity Week: a full week of events, primarily organized by student organizations, to educate the Chicago-Kent community about the importance of bringing a diversity-informed perspective into the law school and the legal profession
  • Multicultural Graduation Celebration: a special celebration to mark the achievements of diverse students at Chicago-Kent

Additional services are provided through the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and the Office of Student Affairs.
