Section 81 Information
Description
This course examines antitrust law (referred to in other parts of the world as "competition law" or "anti-monopoly law"). This area of law combats conduct that interferes with economic competition through agreement, merger or dominant firm conduct. The course looks at the fundamental problems of this area of law, the main categories of conduct involved, and the procedural issues that confront efforts to apply the law. The focus is on U.S. antitrust law, but we will place it in its international context because antitrust law today often reaches across borders. (revised 11/2016)
