Alexander Rabanal

Assistant Teaching Professor

Alexander Rabanal teaches courses at Chicago-Kent College of Law focused on legal innovation and technology, including courses in technology and access to justice, professional responsibility, and artificial intelligence. He also serves as the associate director of The Law Lab, the law school’s legal innovation and technology program.

Rabanal is the faculty adviser to the Self-Help Resource Center, a student-run help desk providing legal information to self-represented litigants at the Richard J. Daley Center courthouse.

Rabanal received his B.A. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he graduated cum laude and as a James Scholar. He received his J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law where he also graduated cum laude and was a member of the Chicago-Kent Law Review and International Moot Court Honor Society.

Rabanal is a recipient of the Michael J. Graff Teaching Innovation Award (2024) from Illinois Tech and the Pro Bono Honor Roll (2024) from the Association of American Law Schools (AALS).
