Exams and the Impending December 20-21 Winter Storm

Students who have an exam scheduled for Thursday, December 20, at 6:00 pm, or Friday, December 21, at 8:30 am, please read the message below.

Thursday night exams

The storm is expected to hit late this afternoon or early evening. Please leave extra time, if at all possible, to make it to school before the 6:00 start time for evening exams. If you arrive after 6:00, please go to my office (320C) instead of your assigned room. We will have special rooms set up for late-arriving students to take their exams. You will receive the normal full time for your exam. If you feel that you cannot make it to school safely, or have concerns about your ability to make it home after the exam, please contact me by email (ssowle@kentlaw.iit.edu) or by phone (312-906-5282; leave a message if I don't answer, and I'll get back to you as soon as possible).

Friday morning exams

We will start tomorrow morning's exams at 9:30 instead of 8:30. Please make sure you build in plenty of extra time for getting here in the morning and, if possible, plot out an alternative means of transportation in case your normal mode of commute is delayed or unavailable. If you arrive after 9:30, please go to my office (320C) instead of your assigned room. We will have special rooms set up for late-arriving students to take their exams. You will receive the normal full time for your exam. If you feel that you cannot make it to school safely in the morning, please contact me by email (ssowle@kentlaw.iit.edu) or by phone (312-906-5282; leave a message if I don't answer, and I'll get back to you as soon as possible).
