IIT Chicago-Kent Institute for Law and the Humanities hosts Albany Park Theater Project performance of “Truth From Youth” on November 11

IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law's Institute for Law and the Humanities will host a performance of "Truth from Youth" by the Albany Park Theater Project (APTP) on November 11 in the law school's Governor Richard B. Ogilvie Auditorium, 565 West Adams Street (between Clinton and Jefferson streets) in Chicago. The performance, which is free and open to the public, will begin at 5 p.m.

"Truth from Youth" is an original performance based on the real-life stories of urban teens, immigrants and working-class Chicagoans. Albany Park Theater Project is renowned for its blend of intense honesty with resilient hopefulness and for its integration of the arts, education and activism. The company performed a well-received limited run of "Home/Land" at the Goodman Theatre in July 2013.

"Truth from Youth" at IIT Chicago-Kent is the Albany Park Theater Project's only Chicago-area performance this fall. The performance will be followed by a special conversation with the teen cast members and the directors of the company.

Founded in 1888, IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law is celebrating "125 years of distinctive legal education." IIT Chicago-Kent is the law school of Illinois Institute of Technology, a private, Ph.D.-granting institution with programs in engineering, psychology, architecture, business, design and law.
