IIT Chicago-Kent names 2014 National Pretrial Competition team
Ana Montelongo, Joshua Rehak, Nicolette Ward and Michael Zhang will represent IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law in the seventh annual National Pretrial Competition October 16 through 19 at Stetson University College of Law's Gulfport campus in Florida. The competition, which is designed to capture the essence of pretrial motion practice, is co-sponsored by Stetson's Center for Excellence in Advocacy and the Young Lawyers Division of the Florida Bar.
Team member Ana Montelongo is a second-year student who graduated with honors from DePaul University with a degree in English and Education. Montelongo also earned a master's degree in language and literacy from National Louis University. Team member Nicolette Ward, also a second-year student, earned an undergraduate degree in journalism from the University of Iowa. Teammate Joshua Rehak is a third-year student who graduated magna cum laude from Lewis University with a degree in political science. Teammate Michael Zhang, also a third-year student, graduated from Calgary University with a degree in political science.
The team is coached by IIT Chicago-Kent alumni Rachel Moran '08 , Charles Prochaska '10 and Jessica Velez '12.
