IIT Chicago-Kent selects its National Criminal Justice Trial Competition team
IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law students Evelyn Hernandez '16, Lindsay Hicks '16, Bobbie Irvin '15 and Michael Sherer '16 will participate in the National Criminal Justice Trial Competition March 19 to 21 in Chicago. Twenty law school teams from the United States and Puerto Rico will compete in the tournament co-sponsored by the ABA Criminal Justice Section and the John Marshall Law School.
Team member Evelyn Hernandez earned a degree in history at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Teammate Lindsay Hicks earned an undergraduate degree in psychology from Kansas State University and a master of social work degree at Washington University in St. Louis. Teammate Bobbie Irvin received a degree in political science from the University of Arkansas. Teammate Michael Sherer graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a double major in sociology and English.
The team is coached by IIT Chicago-Kent alumni Michelle Truesdale '04, Robby Fakhouri '14, Edwin Johnson '13, and adjunct professor Lance Northcutt.
