Two Chicago-Kent teams will go to Cultural Heritage Law Moot Court Competition

Two teams from Chicago-Kent College of Law at Illinois Tech will compete in the seventh annual National Cultural Heritage Law Moot Court Competition. The tournament, sponsored by DePaul University College of Law and the Lawyers' Committee for Cultural Heritage Preservation, will be held February 26 and 27, 2016, at the Everett McKinley Dirksen U.S. Courthouse in Chicago.

Second-year students Alyssa Jutovsky, Emily Linehan and Jeff Michalik will compete on one Chicago-Kent team. Second-year students Alexandra Reitzner, Karen Vaysman and Karolen Younan will comprise the other team.

Teams from Chicago-Kent have won first place in the National Cultural Heritage Law Moot Court Competition in 2010, 2011 and 2014.

Chicago-Kent's Ilana Diamond Rovner Program in Appellate Advocacy, the umbrella program for many of the law school's moot court activities, was established in 1992. Since then, Chicago-Kent students have won numerous individual honors and regional and national competitions, including consecutive titles in the New York City Bar Association's National Moot Court Competition.
