Federalist Society Event on Free Speech Online, Section 230 and the First Amendment

On Tuesday, October 5th at 1:00pm in Room C35, and online via Zoom (here), join the Federalist Society as we host Ashkhen Kazaryan in a discussion on Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, which generally provides immunity for website platforms with respect to third-party content. Ms. Kazaryan is a tech policy expert and works at Facebook* as Content Policy Manager, Regulation. She will speak on the history of Section 230, its common misconceptions, and proposals to amend it, as well as content moderation, free speech online, and the global aspects of the Internet. Come to learn about this oft-cited provision and have your questions answered by an expert in the field. All are welcome, and none will be censored!

* Ms. Kazaryan will speak in her capacity as an expert: none of her views will represent her employer’s.
