The Chicago-Kent Law Library is seeking to hire a part-time student assistant for the 2023-2024 academic year.

Qualifications (required):

  • Federal Work Study eligible
  • Currently enrolled 2L, 3L or 4L Chicago-Kent student

Skills (preferred):

  • Previous library experience
  • Strong communication, written and verbal

Responsibilities:

  • Checking out books
  • Schedule group study rooms for students
  • Shelve library materials
  • Assist with closing the library

Schedule:

  • 10 hours per week, in the office (no remote work)
  • 2 weekday evenings 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm, 1 Saturday shift 11:30 am - 3:30 pm

Salary:

  • $15.80 per hour, per Illinois Tech standardized student worker minimum wage
  • Salary paid biweekly with a supervisor approved timesheet
