Summer 2021 Awarding

At Chicago-Kent College, the Summer semester is the trailing/ending term of the given academic year. Therefore, in order to obtain federal financial aid for Summer, you must have completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for 2020-2021. You may complete your 2020-2021 FAFSA HERE.

You must be registered for at least 3 credit hours to be considered for summer financial aid, as long as the class/classes you are enrolling in are applicable to your degree. Once you are registered for at least 3 credit hours you will automatically be considered for Summer financial aid.

If you have a Chicago-Kent Scholarship, $1500 per course will be automatically applied to your student account unless you email our office at finaid@kentlaw.iit.edu to opt-out of receiving a portion of your scholarship for the Summer 2021 term. If you do not opt-out of receiving a portion of your Chicago-Kent Scholarship for Summer 2021, the amount that is credited to your student account for Summer 2021 will then be deducted from the 2021-2022 academic year’s total scholarship amount.

If you have a Full-Tuition or Honors Scholarship, your scholarship will cover your Summer tuition costs.
