If you enroll in Summer 2021 Session courses, your scholarship will automatically be applied to your financial aid award at the rate of $1,500 per course, approximately a week after the end of the add/drop period ends.

To opt out of receiving your Summer 2021 scholarship allocation, please reply to this email.

NOTICE: Students that are awarded the Summer 2021 scholarship, please factor in the following to determine how much you need to borrow for the Summer term:

  • Your Summer 2021 federal student loan(s) will be reduced by the same amount you are awarded in scholarship funds for the Summer 2021 term.
  • Your 2021-2022 (Fall 2021 and Spring 2022) scholarship will be reduced by the same amount of scholarship funds you are awarded for the Summer 2021 term.
  • Your 2021-2022 federal student loan(s) will be revised to allow for the scholarship reduction for the academic year (Fall 2021 and Spring 2022) due to Summer 2021 allotment.
  • You will receive an award notification email directing you to the myIIT portal to view/accept the revised federal student loan amount(s) for the 2021-2022 academic year.

If we do not have an email from you stating that you are declining to receive your scholarship for Summer 2021 you will be automatically awarded the scholarship after the end of the add/drop period.
