Section 1 Information
Description
A study of the law relating to the gratuitous transfer of property at death and in trust. The course will examine the formalities required for the execution and revocation of a will, will contests, the problems incident to intestate succession, will substitutes, the creation and enforcement of private express trusts, the creation and enforcement of charitable trusts, and the use of class gifts and powers of appointment to introduce flexibility into estate plans. The course will also explore certain issues of elder law, such as living wills and health care powers of attorney.
