Although there is no absolute deadline for applications, we strongly suggest that they be filed and completed as soon as possible after September 15, and preferably before the suggested application deadlines listed below. Because we have a rolling admissions process, it is to your advantage to submit and complete your application as early as possible in the admissions cycle.

September 1: Chicago-Kent first-year and transfer J.D. applications available on LSAC.org
September 15: Chicago-Kent begins accepting applications
November 1: Admissions decision notification begins
December: Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) becomes available from the U.S. Department of Education
December 15: Suggested application deadline for spring transfer applicants
2024
January 15: Priority application deadline. Applicants who submit all required application materials by this date will receive an admissions decision no later than February 15.
February 15: Decision notification date for applicants who submit completed applications by the priority application deadline.
March 15: Suggested application deadline for first-year J.D. applicants.
April 15: First tuition deposit due for first-year students and priority registration deadline for summer start students.
May 15: Suggested application deadline for Spring LSAT registrants.
June 14: Second tuition deposit due for first-year students.
July 15: Fall registration deadline for entering first-year J.D. students. Suggested application deadline for fall transfer applicants.
August 12: Orientation begins for first-year J.D. students.
