Please join us for a panel discussion on Birthright Citizenship and the Fourteenth Amendment. The Supreme Court will soon hear arguments in Trump v. Barbara on whether children who are born in the United States to undocumented immigrants or to temporary visitors are natural-born citizens under the Fourteenth Amendment. On Tuesday, March 10, from 12 noon to 1 p.m. in the Chicago-Kent Auditorium, this case will be discussed by six Chicago-Kent constitutional law professors – Raff Donelson, Steven Heyman, Harold Krent, Mark Rosen, Christopher Schmidt, and Carolyn Shapiro. The event is sponsored by the Chicago-Kent Institute on the Supreme Court of the United States and the CK chapters of the American Constitution Society and Federalist Society. It will be livestreamed and recorded for those who can’t attend in person. Questions about the event can be directed to Prof. Heyman at sheyman@illinoistech.edu.
