External Scholarships

Throughout the year, the Office of Admissions receives notices of scholarships that are offered through external organizations. Information about the scholarship awards that are currently available is listed below. Award notices are listed in the order in which they were received.

New! The Illinois Judges Foundation Scholarship Award

Application Deadline: June 28, 2024

The scholarship was established as a permanent way of transmitting ethical values to new generations of law students.  This scholarship was established in the name of, and to honor, Judge Harold W. Sullivan, one of the founders and a long-time supporter of the Illinois Judges Association.

The Illinois Judges Foundation awards the Harold Sullivan Scholarship to one or more Illinois law school students. The LMJ Scholarship Award

Application Deadline: May 1, 2024

The LMJ Scholarship Program is dedicated to nurturing the academic and professional careers of outstanding law students. The Boone County Bar Scholarship Award

Application Deadline: May 31, 2024

The Boone County Bar Association awards scholarship(s) each school year to student(s) that are accepted or currently attending an American Bar Association accredited law school. The applicant must either be a current Boone County resident or a resident of Boone County at the time of his or her high school graduation. The Cabaniss Johnson Scholarship Award

Application Deadline: June 6, 2024

The Cabaniss Johnston Scholarship’s aim is to recognize and assist academically outstanding second-year law students who are also Alabama residents, and, further, to help promising law students become lawyers who will make a positive impact on society. The scholarship was endowed in 1987 by the law firm of Cabaniss Johnston Gardner Dumas and O’Neal; the Alabama Law Foundation administers the scholarship. Interested students can learn more and apply via the following page: Cabaniss Johnston Scholarship
