Labor and Employment Leaders: Spring 2026 Issue of Chicago-Kent Magazine Released

  • By Kayla Molander

The spring 2026 issue of Chicago-Kent Magazine is now available online. This edition pays tribute to one of Chicago-Kent College of Law’s strongest and longest-standing programs: labor and employment law.

Four alumni are featured in its pages:

  • Joe Healy ’05 worked as a construction laborer before going to law school. Now, he serves as secretary-treasurer of the Chicago Laborers’ District Council, representing more than 20,000 laborers, most of whom are construction workers.
  • Kristen Prinz ’06 specializes in labor issues affecting the C-suite, and she’s become such an ace negotiator that she’s publishing a book to help others.
  • Daniel Canales ’08 represents companies, guiding and advising them on how best to protect one of their greatest assets: their employees.
  • Naomi Frisch ’18 didn’t give up on her first career as an orchestral oboist to become a union lawyer—she does both, even representing many of her musician friends.

Chicago-Kent Magazine is the law school's premier alumni news source, and it is sent to its nearly 13,000 alumni.
