INTERNAL Room Request Form

Facility Availability:  Spaces for events are confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis.  There are times, recurring and periodic, when the Conviser Law Center is not available to reserve for events or reservation confirmations are temporarily on hold for academic spaces.

Events are not allowed when JD/LLM final exams are in session, per academic term. When a major Chicago-Kent sponsored event is scheduled, no other events or activities may be scheduled on that date.  Reservations for classroom spaces will be temporarily on hold until (1) JD/LLM orientation scheduling is finalized, (2) academic course scheduling and classroom assignments are finalized each term and (3) final exam classrooms are finalized each term.

Non-academic spaces can be reserved in advance for events, contingent upon availability.

Co-Sponsored Events: If the internal reservation request is for a co-sponsored event with, or to host an event for, an outside/non-Illinois Tech university department, please contact Event Planning via email at before completing this form.

Student Bar Association Events:  SBA organization events at the Conviser Law Center should be planned carefully and in advance.  Student Services, Event Planning and in some instances, Institutional Advancement will be involved to support SBA event logistics.   However, it is crucial for individual student bar association organization's leaders to take initiative, follow all rules and comply policies, be timely with tasks and work with department administrators to have a successful event.

SBA events primarily start with two essential steps.  Step 1 - Review the Event Planning Checklist and Submit the SBA Event Registration Form for Student Services.  Step 2 - Submit the Internal Room Request Form for an event reservation confirmation.

Events With Food/Beverages: For events where food and/or non-alcoholic beverages will be served in any classroom, it is the responsibility of the requestor of the room reservation to make sure that all leftover food, beverages and/or containers, and all trash are immediately removed from the room at the conclusion of the event. Attendees should be instructed to place their trash in the appropriate receptacles and leave nothing on the tables or floor.

Alcohol Policy: The Illinois Tech policy to serve alcohol on the premises of any university campus includes service for beer and wine only, after 4:00PM, in approved designated areas and served by a licensed bartender.  Click here to read the full Serving of Alcohol university policy.

If you plan to have alcohol service for an event at the Conviser Law Center, you must submit an Alcohol Service Request Form for approval.  Certain restrictions may apply.

Assumption of Risk and Release: The following form is mandatory for your participation in the Activity, as described within the form, at the Conviser Law Center. Click here to complete the form.
