Fighting for Innovation: Fall 2024 Chicago-Kent Magazine released

  • By Kayla Molander

Chicago-Kent College of Law is pleased to announce the release of the fall 2024 issue of Chicago-Kent Magazine, the law school’s premier alumni news source.

This edition is dedicated to alumni practicing in the field of intellectual property law. Founded more than 25 years ago, Chicago-Kent’s IP law program is ranked #18 in the country according to U.S. News & World Report’s 2024 rankings.

This issue features four alumni working in the dynamic IP field:

  • Patrick G. Burns ’78 is a founding member of IP firm Greer, Burns & Crain, a prominent member of the IP community, and a former Chicago-Kent adjunct professor.
  • Joey Zawacki ’22 learned to blend her love of art into a successful career as an attorney adviser in trademarks at the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
  • Thomas Donovan ’87 has spent 25 years at Barnes & Thornburg, all while teaching as an adjunct professor at Chicago-Kent in the evenings for two decades.
  • Jen Nacht ’21 loves IP law so much, she can’t stop writing about it for her Curious Cat IP Blog—while she also prosecutes counterfeiters at her day job.

You can read the fall 2024 edition online.
