Bar Resources

Request Bar-Related Materials

The Office of Bar Success is here to assist you with requesting bar-related materials required for your application. We will carefully review your request and submit the necessary documents on your behalf to the appropriate jurisdiction.

Illinois Bar Exam Applicants

If you are applying for the Illinois bar exam prior to completing your JD program, you do not need to complete a JD Certificate Request. Once you have completed your JD program, we will email your JD Certificate directly to the Illinois Board of Admissions to the Bar (IBAB) on your behalf.

New York Bar Exam Applicants

For New York bar applicants, New York will send us a list of candidates for approval of the Certificate of Attendance. This typically occurs around late May for July takers and late December for February takers. We will process and submit the Certificate of Attendance once we receive the list from New York.

All other JD Certificate or other bar-related document requests, please complete the form below.

Bar Certification Request Form

How to Submit Your Request: To begin, please complete the request form below. Be sure to provide all necessary details to help us process your request efficiently. 

Timeline: Please allow 7-10 business days for the completion of your request. Materials are sent directly to the requested jurisdiction on your behalf. We will notify you once your materials are submitted. 

Law School Application Amendment Requests: To request an application amendment, please complete the form below with the updated information and any necessary supporting documents. The Office of the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs will review your request and will contact you directly if necessary.
